Thanks for replying Jana,
that sounds great - especially because to be honest I'm delighted to hear that 'Socially and environmentally responsible production has always been part of Spreadshirt’s values' as I wasn't aware of that at all.

As a Spreashirt user for a while now, it's something I'm very happy to hear!

I think it would be a good thing to raise awareness of this aspect of Spreadshirt.

I was also happy to see the addition of the Organics range, and I'd very much like to see a move to add fair trade t-shirts.

I realise fair trade and organic are options which raise the base price, but I'll stay optimistic that you'd be able to source something viable and that in time as interest in these options grows the cost may be reduced.

Thanks again for your reply,
Much appreciated,
Frank

Hi, Frank,

Hopefully, you are into the forum now. I wanted to respond directly to your question about what the statement is that we have our suppliers sign. We are working on getting that online now, so you will be able to see. In the case of B&C, they already had their statement of ethics in the form of the BSCI, which is more comprehensive than ours. For suppliers like this, we'll accept their statement, after checking out any outside organisation, like BSCI.

Sorry for sounding vague, I was meaning to be all encompassing. You'll see the specifics within a month (-ish), when we get the information online from each of our suppliers. As mentioned, we will be asking the community to provide us any counter information they find. We will investigate that information as we have in this case.

So far, what B&C has represented to us has been accurate.

Thanks,
Jana

Thanks Adam,
It's a new shop, I haven't started shouting from the rooftops yet - trying to ensure I have a good few designs in the shop first... so it's in 'soft launch' mode :)

I dunnoe, I still can't get into the forums...

I was trying to see the pictures of reflex prints in the printing thread, but you have to be logged in.

My shop username and password doesn't seem to work, and the forum system doesn't seem to recognise my email address for a password mailout :(

Thanks for your help!

Hi Frank,

Sorry to hear your having troubles with the forums. Nice store by the way, i'd not seen it before. As a spreadshirt partner you don't need to register you should just be able to log in with your current shop-partner email login & password. There have been one or two issues with this, but currently all seems to be okay.

What would you like to know specifically? Apart from the forums there are some info on the site itself here:

http://www.spreadshirt.net/Printing_Technique.35.0.html

and

http://www.spreadshirt.net/Characteristics.33.0.html

or this thread in the forums (you should be able to view as a guest also)

http://forum.spreadshirt.net/showthread.php?t=1099

If you need anymore help logging in or want more information mail me at adf @ spreadshirt.net

I'll look exactly what is contained in the statement our vendors must sign, and get back to you.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam...

Jana's statement says:

"Spreadshirt has our vendors send us a signed statement on ethical and environmental policies before we start working with them."

To be honest, the statement above is a little vague without reference to the content of said statement...

The other thing is though, I only stumbled upon this in an effort to gain access to the forums to find info on reflex printing.

I keep getting told "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator."

So I can't get the info I need.

What's the story?

I think a company has to care about the people.
Not just for image reasons, but for the health and wealth of those workers. Your customers will have an eye on this. It`s the right decision to question and discuss the problem with your Shop-Partners.
