Spreadshirt Open Logo Project: Losers Shirts Now Available

Yesterday, the OLP 1.6 Losers Shirts shop was finally opened to the public only three months after closing the Losers Shirts contest.

OLPLosersShirtShop

You´re invited to visit the chique boutique right here and get your piece of the OLP losers pie for a laughable fee of 13 EUR.

But be quick: there are not even 100 shirts out of 140 produced left in our stash.

Qwertyshirty - find a shirtwhack!

http://qwertyshirty.googlepages.com/

Mike from MJR Productions recently quietly rolled out an early version of his qwertyshirty service. It’ll help you search the Marketplace, something we still don’t have working properly.

It index all the shops of Spreadshirt EU & US, Cafepress, Zazzle and Printfection. You can pick one or all. Enter a term and it runs away does clever google stuff and comes back with some nice results.

Its a really nice idea. Find a gap, plug it with simple technology that won’t fail. Pat yourself on the back Mike. Just one small complaint, why are Zazzle always first when you search with all? :(
And a challenge, find a googlewhack shirt. Somewhere amongst all the hundreds of thousands of shirts made on print on demand services like Spreadshirt there must be one so niche, its never been replicated. The “shirtwhack”. The search string must be two words and must lead to one particular shirt related to the search string. Happy hunting, comment your finds.

I have only found one so far (and its a poster not exactly a shirtwhack) “slave rubber” (purely random words that lead me here I promise ;), which leads to this mighty fine Zazzle poster.

Are you social?

Forgetting your password is old news. The latest is forgetting if you ever even had an account somewhere. I wonder how many accounts I have around the web. More than once I’ve got excited by a new service tried logging in by chance only to find that I already have an account there, opened in haste forgotten even faster. We all have hundred of accounts around the web and remembering them all with the help of browsers password memory would be a challenge bordering on the impossible.

You may have watched with interest Googles Android phone platform announcements, or the recent interest in OpenID. One day hopefully we’ll all have just one central username and password to remember for everything. That will be a joyous day for me, you and identity thieves. Everyones a winner. Until that day you can display your web2.0 promiscuousness publically with the help of the “are you social” shirt from a US shop-partner. Its a shirt which allows you to show everywhere you have accounts or services you are actively using:

Its for sale in a Spreadshirt shop in the US here and EU here. But originated here in Germany from these guys http://www.datenform.de/are-you-social.html

Don’t tase me bro!

donttaseme.jpg

We talked a few times about a simple way of selling shirts, hopping on a current trend or fad. I wrote a post on it here a while back. Today Boing Boing discusses the latest in a long line of things that weren’t that funny to start with, but end up in our collective subconscious anyway :)
Its “don’t tase me bro”. It all started here it seems, and now its spreading all over the show with a few tshirt sites (like this printfection shop and also tshirt hell) also getting involved. I was searching around for an enterprising spreader that might have jumped on the trend, and found just one this spreadshop donttasemebro.cc

where you could get such kid friendly delights as

Topical Shops: Chuck Norris Facts

Just stumbled across this video of Chuck Norris reading out his favourite facts taken directly from our partner shop

Notice the upbeat music that comes up behind Chuck’s voice as he starts to read…This background music will suddenly play any time you wear one of the shirts, too.  And of course the random applause as well, but that happens all the time (to me, anyway).

Tasty & Refreshing

For those who want a peak of the Spreadshirt hotpants and tees on Britain’s Next Top Model, here’s a clip.

Things start to get cheeky around 6:35.

Spreadshirt’s Next Top Models?

For those of us lucky enough to have multichannel and Living TV, there is Britain’s Next Top Model, the diva and drama riddled reality show hosted by Lisa Snowden, featuring a dozen wannabe models who compete with each other to be…em, Britain’s Next Top Model.

As it happens, last night’s episode featured the girls sporting none other than some Spreadshirt-donated hotpants and t-shirts.

Tasty & Refreshing

Having lost the “Who’s best at ‘Acting’ in a Soap Opera challenge, two of the remaining four girls were made parade around a beach in sunny Rio serving Ice Tea from large kegs, wearing nothing but our girlie t-shirts and hotpants, which demurely read “Tasty and Refreshing” across their booties.  “How do you get these on?” said one of the girls, who got a small bit confused and attempted to put the hotpants on backwards.

So, do we reckon these could be Spreadshirt’s next top models?

For those of us who cannot resist the urge to emulate our favourite model d-listers, the hotpants and t-shirts are available here.

Norwayshire - Norway’s 3rd biggest supporter club

East Stirligshire - We just can't score a goal!
Sometimes great little stories appear in the most unexpected of places. For example… What happens when you mix Carl Thywissen, and East Stirlingshire and Norwegian football supporters?

…..You get Norwayshire!

One for the bloggers

Blog This Design

As a serial blogger, I’m really digging this new design from Festivalshirts. As just about anything is niche blog worthy, its actually wearable anywhere, anytime, anyday. Mundane is the new insane, at least when it comes to the blogosphere.

Shop-partner Spotlight - Modesty, Festivalshirts.net style.

Modesty is massively over-rated. When you move abroad you realise just how modest the Brits are. We skirt around problems, downplay everything, don’t cause a fuss, never blow our own trumpet, if we do something good it must have been luck. Time for all that to stop, lets get a little more European, or even American (shudder ;) with the help of a new Spreadshirt store Festivalshirts.net and this little, modest beauty:
